YOUR QUICK FIELD GUIDE

  1. Daily challenge: everyone gets the same five city pairs, beginning at midnight Eastern Time.
  2. Practice: play fresh rounds whenever you like. Practice results are labeled separately.
  3. Meet two cities and estimate the shortest surface distance between them.
  4. Choose kilometers, miles, or nautical miles and lock in your guess when you’re ready.
  5. The closer the guess, the higher the score. A 10% miss earns 180 of 200 points; a 50% miss earns 100.
  6. Share your daily result and compare with friends.

Distances use city coordinates and an approximate spherical Earth, not actual flight routes.
